Full Moon Bath

Ritual baths have been used for thousands of years.

Naturally, I was so excited to exchange my huge walk in shower for a “normal” bath tub, as this lunar eclipse/full moon is perfect for a ritual bath. I used to take them all the time for different purposes - using all kinds of herbs, oils, and crystals.

I’m looking forward to creating new ceremonies and sharing them with you.

Tools:

Epsom or Himalayan pink salt - Cleansing and purifying.

Whole milk - Skin softening and gentle exfoliation.

Lavender Essential Oil - Derives it’s name from the Latin word “lavare” meaning “to wash”. Lavender creates a peaceful, grounded energy, and balances all chakras.

Most commonly associated with love, devotion, purity, and grace.

Smoky Quartz, Amethyst, Clear Quartz, Rose Quartz, or other crystals. - Intention setting and vibration/frequency matching.

Frankincense Incense - Inspires purification and centering of the mind, body and spirit. Used in meditation practice for thousands of years.

White candles - Symbolizing purity, protection, and new beginnings. Lunar or Goddess energy.

Prior to your bath, journal all of your intentions. This should include whatever you are surrendering and releasing under this powerful full moon.

Smudge (sage) your bathroom walking in a clockwise direction. Then smudge yourself.

Light your Frankincense incense.

As you fill your tub with bath water, pour in about 2 cups of milk, around 30 drops of Lavender, and 1 cup of salt.

Place your crystals either in the tub or around the ledge.

Light your white candles, placing them wherever it’s safest, while close to you.

As you relax into the water, you are literally “washing away” all which no longer serves you. Envision cleansing, and purification of your body, mind, and spirit. You may want to either speak out loud, or in your head say “I cleanse and release all which no longer serves my highest good”. Spend some time in meditation, removing all thoughts and mental noise.

As you can see in the photo, I had a blue light “visitor” during my ceremony last nite.

Blessings.
