How to Instantly Feel Happier
Start exercising regularly. Physical activity releases hormones which elevate your mood, and you’ll have the ability to watch your body evolve just by showing it love. The more you love yourself, the better you feel.
Learn your triggers. Once you are aware of the things that make you unhappy, you’re able to either talk yourself through them, or understand why you feel the way you do which is a mood changer in itself.
Say “Yes” more often. Having something to focus on, look forward to, and plan will keep you centered on the important things.
Meditate daily. Learning to quiet the mind helps with self talk. When you’re present in your thoughts, you are able to better control your thinking patterns.
Practice gratitude. Keep a gratitude journal and write down 5 things you’re grateful for in the morning. When you focus on your own happiness and what you already have, you attract more of the same energy to you.
Delete negative songs from your playlist. Music has a huge influence on us and tends to take us back to a certain timeframe. If you’re still listening to the music from your ugly past - clear out the clutter for some new jams.
Evaluate your biggest life stressor. Whatever it is, it’s getting in the way of your happiness. Once you label it, figure out how you can change this aspect so that you have a positive life energy flow.
Get organized. Constantly playing catch up, or feeling the frustration of falling behind will keep you in a negative head space. You can plan your day by the hour just by setting vocal reminders or calendar events with an alarm.
Create boundaries. Having limits and sticking to them are part of self love and respect. List them if you would like to remind yourself of the healthy habits you’ve created.
Stay away from the people who drain your energy. Like attracts like. If you’re surrounding yourself with bad energy, It’ll be difficult to keep yourself in a good place.
