In an age where weโ€™re told to drink skinny tea, get a spray tan, do 10 yoga poses you canโ€™t stay in for more than 5 seconds because youโ€™re pretty sure youโ€™re not a human pretzel, meditate 5 hours a day, no negative thoughts, no ice cream ๐ธ๐‘‰๐ธ๐‘…...Pro Tip: This is ๐‘๐‘‚๐‘‡ real life. We donโ€™t have it all together every second of every day. The people who lead you to believe this have you on a wheel racing towards an unattainable goal.Wellness is varied dimensions of life that holistically form a healthy, happy lifestyle. As humans, we are faced with certain decisions. These decisions will sometimes be considered the โ€œright onesโ€ and will help us reach our goals. Other days, weโ€™ll make the โ€œnot so rightโ€ decision. Thatโ€™s OK! Be gentle and forgiving of yourself. Just because something works for one person, doesnโ€™t mean itโ€™ll work for you. The important thing is to ๐‘‡๐‘…๐‘Œ.The secret to achieving wellness is to look at every aspect of your life and ask yourself โ€œWhat choices can I make that help me be the best I can be?โ€ โ€œWhat can I do thatโ€™ll help me find balance in my life?โ€ Sometimes pizza on Friday IS the answer! (it is for me) If youโ€™re spending the rest of the week eating ๐‘‚๐‘ ๐‘ƒ๐‘‚๐ผ๐‘๐‘‡, reward yourself. Maybe pizza isnโ€™t whatโ€™ll keep you on point with your healthy eating habits. Maybe its sushi. (also works for me) If sushi keeps you focused on your goal, do that.Habits and routines are the foundation of wellness. They should reflect your goals and priorities, and will help you on the days you donโ€™t have the motivation. Wellness is a ๐ฟ๐ผ๐น๐ธ๐‘†๐‘‡๐‘Œ๐ฟ๐ธ which means itโ€™s also ๐ฟ๐‘‚๐‘๐บ ๐‘‡๐ธ๐‘…๐‘€. What can you do every day to incorporate these balanced dimensions into your life? Create a chart. Include whatโ€™s most important to you. For example: it may be emotional, physical, spiritual, financial, social. What habits and routines can you incorporate into your daily life in order to achieve these goals?
